About us: LLC Missouri.org
LLC Missouri.org forms Missouri LLCs for a $199 service fee plus Missouri's state fees, with the first year of Missouri registered agent service included.
What it costs
Missouri LLC formation: $199 our fee + $50 Missouri state filing fee = $249 due today. The first year of registered agent service is included; it renews at $99/year after 12 months.
EIN (federal tax ID) application: $99. The IRS charges no fee for an EIN. Founders with no SSN or ITIN add $99 for international processing.
State fees are shown separately from our fee. We collect them with your order and pay them to the state at cost when we file.
What the fee doesn't cover
- The state's filing fee and any mandatory state expedite fee. They are listed separately above, collected with your order and paid to the state.
- The federal EIN (tax ID number). That is a separate service: $99.
- An operating agreement.
- BOI / FinCEN beneficial-ownership reporting.
- Legal or tax advice. We are a filing service, not a law firm.
What we do
- Preparation and filing of your LLC's formation document (the Articles of Organization or Missouri's equivalent) with the state.
- Delivery of the state-returned formation documents to your online account.
- Your first year of Missouri registered agent service. It renews at $99/year after 12 months.
The process
Standard Missouri processing for a new LLC takes 1 business day after we file.
State processing times are set by the state and can change.
Staying compliant in Missouri
Every Missouri LLC needs a registered agent, and in this state the requirement carries more weight than usual. Missouri LLCs file no annual report, which makes the registered agent the one Secretary of State obligation your company holds continuously from its first day to its last. The governing statute is RSMo 347.030, and its rules are more particular than most owners expect.

Renewals, cancellation and refunds
Registered agent service renews automatically for another year on each renewal date, unless you turn off auto-renewal or cancel in your online account, or give written notice at least 30 days before the renewal date. Renewal reminders go out about 60 days ahead.
You can cancel at any time from your online account or by contacting support. Cancelling does not by itself remove us as registered agent on the state record; a change of registered agent or resignation filing does that.
Anything already filed with the government is not refundable. Registered agent fees are not refundable once we or our partner have been appointed with the state. State fees are not refundable once paid to the state.
Common questions
How do I get an EIN for my Missouri LLC?
Apply directly on IRS.gov — it's free and takes about 10 minutes. You'll receive your EIN immediately after completing the online application. Never pay a third party for an EIN. If you'd like assistance with the EIN application, we offer it as a separate paid add-on. The IRS application is always free directly.
How much does it cost to form an LLC in Missouri?
The state filing fee to form an LLC in Missouri is $50. That's one of the lowest LLC filing fees in the country. There's no recurring annual report fee on top of that. Formation runs $199 flat — covering Articles preparation and submission only. The $50 state fee, ongoing $99/year registered agent service, EIN application, and operating agreement template each stand alone.
Does Missouri require an annual report for LLCs?
No. Missouri does not require an annual report for standard LLCs. This is one of a small number of states with this rule. You still have federal tax obligations and must maintain a registered agent.
Do I need a registered agent for my Missouri LLC?
Yes. Every LLC registered with the Missouri Secretary of State is required to maintain a registered agent with a physical Missouri address. This is true from the moment you file your formation documents and remains true for as long as the LLC exists. Our registered agent service: first year included with your LLC, then $99/year. The renewal rate is $119/year.
What's included in your formation service?
The $199 service includes Articles of Organization preparation and filing with the Missouri Secretary of State. State fee ($50) is paid separately. Registered agent service: first year included with your LLC, then $99/year. Operating agreement and EIN application help are available as add-ons.
Do I need an operating agreement for my Missouri LLC?
Missouri doesn't require you to file an operating agreement with the state, but you absolutely should have one. Banks require it to open a business account. Courts rely on it in disputes. Without one, Missouri's default LLC rules apply — which may not match your intentions. Drafting one yourself is fine, or you can buy our Missouri operating agreement template as a paid add-on.
